AAI Series 1000 Automatic Test System

This logic tester represented another early attempt at capturing the automatic test equipment market. Note the lack of a video monitor, typical of the period, and the use of an ASR33 teletype for I/O. It used a magnetic disk to store the program. The system is notable for its early use of advanced test techniques driven by a controller with the possibility of attaching a computer.

Many of these systems were placed in the field but the division failed as a business, possibly aided by the conservative eastern style business model of its parent.
